Back again

I'm back in the city!!! YAY! Having a lot of fun, missing everyone in Binghamton, and loving it back home. Enjoy the poetry.

I squeeze you so tight,
You lose all breath
I stare into your eyes,
And fall in love with you more
I can't stop smiling when I look at you
I'm melting still,
more and more each day
It hurts so much to feel this
But I can't stop, can't turn away
The pain that I feel,
I feel in a good way
I keep everything bottled up, not telling a soul
But I can tell you anything,
I lay open before you exposed
Ignoring the fact that I'm not guarded.
As you leave me, you're already missed
Who knew that breathtaking windstorm...could feel like this.

Perfect

Yea, it's been a while...I think I'm going through one of my non-very-creative phases. Wrote this one a little while ago, but besides this, I haven't really been writing as much. That's the thing about my poetry...it just has to hit me, I can't really force it. My poetry just doesn't feel as real if it's forced. I want my poems to flow from within me, from my creative being, from my mind and heart. Anyway, here's a poem:

You say you have flaws, I don’t see them
How can I tell you your perfect?
Every time I say so you tell me I’m wrong
I told you a thousand times before,
Your opinions will be ignored.
I look into your eyes
And see nothing but heaven
For every passing minute I stare at you
Your beauty grows sevenfold
As it takes my breath away
I hold you in my arms as you melt in my embrace
I never grow tired of hearing you sigh
As I hold you close to my chest
You’re there to offer support when I need
And squeeze my hand tighter,
Ever if it hurts yours
I push and shove, and you “fight” back
For all my weird behavior,
You answer me with a smile
I can’t stop kissing your strawberry lips
They make me feel too good
Baby, with all of this held against you
How can you look into my eyes
And tell me you aren’t perfect?
